Testing Policies and Regulations 

 

 

 

Acceptable Forms of Identification 

Please ensure that you bring along at least two of the following forms of Identification:  To be allowed to take the test you must present two of the following ID documents:  
 

  1. Passport with photograph and signature  
  2. Driver’s license with photograph and signature  
  3. State or province ID with photograph and signature
  4. National ID with photograph and signature    
  5. Military ID with photograph and signature  
  6. Employee ID with photograph and signature 
 

Prohibited Items 

Use of the following items in the testing room is strictly prohibited. 

  1. Backpacks, fanny packs 
  2. Bags 
  3. Books, pamphlets and dictionaries 
  4. Briefcases 
  5. Calculator watches and watch alarms (especially those with flashing lights and alarm sounds). 
  6. Calculators 
  7. Cellular or other telephones 
  8. Digital watches (wrist or pocket)  
  9. Examinee-provided keyboards  
  10. Food or beverages  
  11. Any form of tobacco or tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, illicit drugs.  
  12. Hats and headwear (unless by religious requirement).  
  13. Any writing utensil (except as provided by the test center)
  14. Listening devices, personal stereos, radios with headphones, recorders  
  15. Non-medical electronic devices (laptop computers, digital assistants)  
  16. Outerwear (coats, jackets, etc.)  
  17. Pagers (beepers), BlackBerry devices  
  18. Papers of any kind  
  19. Purses, wallets  
  20. Copying and photographic devices  
  21. Slide rules, rulers, compasses, protractors  
  22. Stencils, colored overlays  
  23. Transmission or receiving devices 
 

Permitted Items 

  1. Personal ID documents 
  2. Devices permitted by the testing accommodations status of the examinee  
 

Misconduct 

Because order as well as security must be maintained at the test center, the Test Center Administrator has the authority to dismiss an examinee for misconduct.  Test center personnel will warn any examinee engaging in misconduct to stop his/her behavior. If after a warning, the behavior persists, the TCA will dismiss the examinee and complete a detailed Irregularity Report regarding the incident. 

The following behavior is considered misconduct: 

  1. Giving or receiving assistance of any kind, talking to another examinee,   
  2. Hand signals, use of notes.  
  3. Using any prohibited items listed in “Prohibited Items” above.  
  4. Attempting to take an examination for someone else.  
  5. Failing to follow test regulations or instructions of administrator.  
  6. Causing a disturbance of any kind.  
  7. Removing or attempting to remove test questions and/or responses (in any format) or notes about test content from the test center.  
  8. Tampering with the operation of the computer or attempting to use it for any function other than taking the test.
